HubSpot sales rep activity report: calls, emails, meetings, tasks and notes, with the detail behind every count
An activity count you cannot check is a number you cannot coach from. The report lists the five activity types per rep and, under each count, the activities that make it up.
A Director of Outbound Sales at a mid-market company wrote on G2 in September 2024 that what HubSpot solves is "being able to report out to our senior leadership team, how my sales reps are performing on a daily basis, weekly monthly and quarterly." A Strategic Account Manager at a mid-market company wrote in November 2025 that the best part is "the ability to see my activity compared to my colleagues." The activity number matters to both sides of the desk, which is why it has to be a number you can check.
It is not always one. A small-business reviewer wrote in June 2026 that "when someone books a meeting, it is incorrectly shown under someone else's name." A count with nothing underneath it cannot tell you that happened.
What the report shows
A sales rep activity report, every Monday, has two tables:
- activity by rep: calls, emails, meetings, tasks and notes each rep logged last week
- activity detail: the list of activities behind each count
The rule that makes it checkable
Each per-rep count equals the number of detail rows listed for that rep and type. If the table says a rep made 23 calls, there are 23 rows under it, so a manager who doubts a number can read the list instead of arguing about it. Tasks are counted by their due date, so a task completed early still lands in the week it was due.
Why it is worth a schedule
The alternative is about an hour a week opening each rep's activity feed and counting. The cost of not doing it is slower: a rep logging 17 activities a week instead of 100 is coached three months late, or never.
How Captain Hudson does it
Describe the report in a sentence. Captain Hudson shows you the plan before anything runs, then builds the report from the calls, emails, meetings, tasks, notes and owners in your own HubSpot account, every Monday, with a note on how each number was produced. Your HubSpot data is used for your account only, never used to train a model, and deleted when you uninstall or ask. The ready-made version is below.
